Privacy

What we collect

• Account data: email address, optional display name, password hash.
• Activity data: episodes watched, unlocks, watch history used for "continue watching".
• Transaction data: orders, coins spent, plan status. Card data never touches our servers.
• Newsletter: email address and language preference, if you subscribe.
• Technical data: IP address, device type, and cookies described below.

Why we use it

To deliver the service (playback, unlocks, subscriptions), to personalise what you see, to process payments, to keep the service secure, and to respond to support requests. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies

• Session cookie: keeps you signed in. Removed on sign-out.
• Locale cookie: remembers your language choice.
• Privacy-first analytics may measure aggregate traffic; no cross-site tracking.

Processors

We use a payment provider (acting as merchant of record for tax), a video CDN, an email delivery service, and privacy-first analytics. Each receives only the data needed for its function.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Watch events are pruned regularly. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or object to processing of your personal data. Email privacy@hintgrain.com and we will respond within the time required by law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data authority.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
